Clownfish and anemone, internal quartz microsculpture

Here's a chunk of winter fun: optically clear Brazilian quartz (except for the fossil inclusions seen on the right side of the piece), negative space sculpture in which the complex hole is carved toward yourself with diamond bits/hi speed Foredom flex shaft tool, and the "hole" becomes the internal microsculpture. This provides some nice light play.

This should work well for shore birds, expecially if there are interesting fossil inclusions in the stone. Always use plenty of water pik irrigation and protect your eyes and sinuses by use of safety glasses, respirator mask and a very active ventilation system. Quartz carving is great fun - no sketching - just do it. Best to all here. - Bob

Crikey Bob - What else is up your sleeves (as opposed to round yopur neck!), this is a fascinating little piece. Wonderful.
