Sunbirds cairns (1 Viewer)

Hi there. My first post. We have a sunbird nest under our back patio. 3 rounds of chicks produced this year. Anyhow for about the last 2 months a female sunbird has been coming back to the nest every evening and stays all night. The last couple of days she has been in and out of the nest during the day but today she has been in the nest all morning she flys out to the pool shade sail and calls out like she is looking for her mate. I am concerned that something may have happened to him and that is what this behaviour is about. I don’t think she is nesting I think the season is over. I would appreciate any feedback I am quite upset and concerned. My apologies for the long winded post. Cheers
