I had a nice walk around this stunning national park. Sadly I had my family with me, so birding was rather difficult! I will certainly be going back as soon as I have my driving licence sorted!

All in either Paddington or in the CBD (including on the river here), I sadly haven't had time to get anywhere else yet!!

When I am in Brisbane I always walk along the river below the CBD and through the Botanic Gardens.

Regent bowerbirds are amazing, aren't they! I still remember my first, at O'Reilly's in 2008.

They really are extraordinary, I haven't seen many birds anywhere close to being as brightly-coloured! I will definitely be heading out to O'Reilly's as soon as I can, and I certainly need to head to the botanical gardens- I remember seeing some extremely tame Buff-banded Rails there!

I had a fantastic morning walking around Mount Coot-tha Forest. It is incredible to have such a place so close to the CBD!! I will certainly be back soon, not least to have another look for the Powerful Owls that live here...
