Spoonbills migrating at night ? (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

Last night at around 1 am, I saw and heard a group of what I believed to be Eurasian Spoonbills migrating north.
Has anyone here heard of or seen spoonbills migrating at night ? Are they usually very vocal ?

Thanks for your insight !

Thanks for the replies.
It were definitely not cranes, I know those well.
They were completely white. The sound was somewhat gull-like but nighttime gulls would also surprise me, no ?

A group of gulls flying at night is not unusual. IMO more likely to be seen than migrating Spoonbills. Gulls-latecomers arrive at roost well after dusk, and gulls sleeping in cities (e.g. on street lights on a riverside or bridges) are often flushed at night.
