this one was photographed in October at Wynnum, QLD.
No idea what this bird may be.
Both pictures belong to the same bird.

One is brown and medium-tailed, the other is grey and long-tailed. It's a helluva photo artefact if they are the same bird... ???

This one is tough as I have no idea how big it is, and the two photos do look very different, presumably just some weird exposure thing going on. I am getting a hint of greenish iridescence from some feathers on both, and are those bars on the flanks of the second shot? If the bird was small then it must be a Chalcites (Chyrsococcyx) Bronze-cuckoo, but it may all be photo artefacts?
