You should see the other bloke...
Hi again

Some new UFO's for ID if possible from the Wuyuan area during a weekend dedicated to finding Pied Falconet and Courtois's Laughingthrush amongst other goodies...(details on this thread http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?p=2467814#post2467814)

Thanks in advance for any help
Mark

Shots 1 & 2 are same individual
Shot 3 is, I think, known as a "Bluebottle", which sounds a little demeaning for such a stunning creature!

That's still plausible for Common Sailer. This species goes as far east as Bhutan, I'm not sure whether they're in China.

I was trying to find and explanation on the difference between two neptis-butterflies and came across this partly unanswered thread.

It's only 5 years since this question was posed here, but hey... *
1/2 Indian Fritillary (Argynnis hyperbius)
3 Common Bluebottle (Graphium sarpedon)
4 (Common) Glider (Neptis sappho/hylas/...) still not figured out what's the difference exactly
for reference: http://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/#!/sp/480/Neptis-hylas
and http://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/#!/sp/925/Neptis-sappho

5 long shot but maybe Pale Grass Blue (Pseudozizeeria maha)?http://www.ifoundbutterflies.org/#!/sp/607/Pseudozizeeria-maha

I don't dare try the pieris, i'm doing my best to id my pieridae of Japan and can't get an ID clinched.

Reason for searching asian butterflies: https://japan.observation.org/user/photos/50785?groep=4&sex=0&z=0&q=&from=2013-10-21&to=2018-10-21&maand=0&jaar=0&seasons=0&exo_not=0&exo_only=0&sure=0&stars=0&hidden=0&prov=0&validatie=B&sort=date&type_foto=0
