SunPak Flash

Hi Andy,
Is it possible to use my SunPak Flash from my Nikon FG kit with my 990? Any pitfalls, special shoe adaptors.
I'm looking to use fill in flash out to about 15 miters, is this possible or a fig newton of my mind? ;0)

Sure would be handy getting that "catchlight".

Thanks for thoughts. bob

Sorry about the delay, Bob....I seem to have missed this one.

If your sunpak is geared for Nikon, you should be o.k. but you may need the coolpix flash kit to get it connected to your 990. If your flash/Nikon FG is very old, you should also check to see if voltages have changed on Nikon's in this time. There's a little voltage regulator made by Wein that protects your camera from too high a voltage from the flash, you may wish to investigate this (and other flash related topics) on a specialised nikon camera group/forum.
Regards,
Andy
