I managed to find a pristine Zen-Ray 20-60 ED2 for a steal, and picked up the Vortex Razor (gen1) 30x wide angle EP for it. The combination is stunning.
I took my parents into the mountains today with my Pentax PF65ED, PF80ED, various astro eyepices, the Zen-Ray and a handful of binoculars. And tripods.
We spent several hours viewing various parts of the city, landscape, and mountains with all of the equipment and various combinations.
Mom has had a hummingbird feeder on her back porch for longer than I've been alive. I set up the Zen-Ray in their living room, 10-12 yards from the feeder. The following pictures were taking with a Samsung cell phone (S8) through the Zen-Ray, and through mom's meticulously clean double-pane window.
I think this is the first time I'm posting pictures of birds. I was just thrilled that some came out so well. None have been modified; I haven't played with properties or color balance or contrast etc.
