Just come back from the Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre at Llanelli.

Long-biled Dowitcher been there all day (apparently the second UK record ofthe autumn) ..but tends to go to hide for a couple of hours at a time.

Also present - Little Stint (am), Curlew sandpiper, 2 spoonbill (best views at high tide on the scrape from British Steel Hide.
Also, 5 Whooper swans (2 adults and 3 juv).
 
I saw the Dowitcher pop up on BirdCall earlier and wondered whether you'd be along there to see it. Glad you did!

I too thought of you when my pager announced the arrival of the L.B.Dowitcher. Good bird for your area. Congrats on seeing it.
