Tent Caterpillars (1 Viewer)

I travel about 17 miles inland to my job and I am seeing so much different nature than I've seen in my 27 years by the coast.

I walked around my office building and I stopped counting after I reached 100 tent caterpillar nests in the many trees surrounding my building. Apparently they are not good for the trees. The ones I found were in mostly Pecan Trees. Here is one of the nests I captured on my phone.

This nest is smaller than most of them but each nest has between 100 to 400 eggs in them.

We had those in our pecan trees when we were kids. Would get a long pole and try and get them down. Always heard they weren’t good for the trees.
