I have attached a picture of a bird that is using our garden to eat its prey. I would be grateful if someone could identify it.

It's eating a homing pigeon. I retrieved the ring from the carcass.

Don't report how it died. Best to say something like 'found dead' and leave it at that. Pigeon fanciers already hate birds of prey. No point in adding fuel to the fire.
