Long shot I know but I've a work trip to Brno soon and wondering if there are any accesible wintering Wallcreepers anywhere near Brno. Thanks in hope

A couple used to winter on the cliffs of the little low Palava hills just outside Mikulov - near the Austrian border south of Brno. On the other side of Czechia north of Plzen at a little town called Merklin one has been wintering in a factory complex and has actually been fed by a clever local birder. To check on recent records go to Cz.birds pozorovani and look at the drop down zajimave scroll down to Zednicek skalni and the records for the whole of Czechia will be listed. You should see some interesting birds around Brno even if you cannot find your wallcreeper!
