January 1st joint Birdforum list (2018 edition) (1 Viewer)

@ Swindon Addick
I have just checked your list for duplicates, and (please excuse the cheek) spelling, as that can cause miscounts, and it appears fine, at 161 species.
I really enjoyed this thread as a significant new start at more serious birding (when time allows), thank you for organising it.

Not sure if I'm too late but I saw a Crested Tit at the car park at the Osprey Centre near Boat of Garten on the 1st of January. I've double-checked the UK list but couldn't see it there.

I think the Arctic redpoll got missed off the the uk list

These two bring the UK list to 163. Meanwhile the overall Europe list, including the UK, is 197 if my count is right. Plenty of room for error in this one, with lots of species being X in the UK but Common X or Eurasian X elsewhere.
