I don't know about the price (I bought it from amazon, but I think in the end, it was the book depository that was the original seller). Though the drawings of some larks are questionable (and will always be) for ID in the field and some improvement could still be done on the distribution maps (what do you want, with such a low number of birdwatchers in the area), I have nothing but good words for this long-awaited field guide, and it is up to the now-a-day standard for being an excellent field guide.
