Where to see Smooth Snake (1 Viewer)

having just moved back to the UK from Russia, I intend to make a conceted effort to catch up with some of our native wildlife that I haven't previously seen including Butterflies, Dragonflies, Mammals and reptiles.

Does anyone feel able to provie me with details of a fairly reliable way to see Smooth Snake, pm if you prefer.

PS I may even do a few Orchids having got the taste last summer on my local patch in Russia where I found Marsh Heliborine and Greater Butterly Orchids.

Best bet, I imagine, bearing in mind the legal aspect to disturbing their habitat, and their elusive, often subterranean nature, would be an organised Reptile walk with RSPB Arne.

Thanks Peter, I had imagined this scenario being the most likey way to be honest

We saw one on the Arne guided walk and it was passed around the group for photos. The guide also showed us some raft spiders.
