Having seen my lifer Rufous-winged in this very area I was inclined to think this must also be one, but I have to agree it actually looks like a Rufous-crowned Sparrow.
 
Rufous-crowned for me as well. The overall drabness also points to Rufous-crowned over Rufous-winged. Almost a washed out grayness.
