I shall be happy to give you any help and any advice you need.
I think, the best birding at St.Petersburg is at the end of April - beginning of May because in the large parks you can see migrants, rather unusial at any other time. A lot of migrating sea birds can be observed at the Southern shore of Gulf of Finland.
