Lumix Leica 25/1.4 mm lens (1 Viewer)

I bought this lens last weekend and took it to Sabah with me for a few days this week. Nice weather (but hot) was a good opportunity for this lens to show it's strengths. Overall quality is very good and the lens hood does a good job of keeping stray light out. Autofocus was good and contrast looked better than the 20/1.7. It's sharp. The extra speed helped around sunsets and interiors.
Here are a few shots from the trip.
Neil.

That does sound good and might be especially useful for digiscoping, giving a little more reach than the Pana 20mm f1/7 ;)

I was more interested in better quality at distance over water and mud in the heat. The 20/1.7 has image quality issues over 50 metres in these conditions. The Sigma 30/2.8 is better but too long for some applications.
I also wanted to be able to fit a Variable ND filter on the lens without causing vignetting , which is what happens with the 20/1.7. For video you don't want fast shutter speeds or it looks "shuddery".
I'll report back soon as the rain clears here.
Neil.
