Early morning at the Flashes and Dave J reports:

35 Avocet and 5 young (3:1:1), 3 Dunlin straight through, Ringed Plover straight through, 3 Little Ringed Plover plus 3 young, Redstart, 2 Teal, 2 Common Tern, 5 Shelduck, 7 Gadwall, 2 Shoveler
 
Grey Plover now in the sewage meadow at the Flashes. Another Ringed Plover circled the Flashes but didn't drop. Common Sandpiper at the Sailing Pool. All as per Dave J.
 
Male Redstart on old barn roof at the Flashes still and Peregrine on the transmitter masts as per Gert.

Dave J and the Crofts had 77 species between them at 11am - will be interesting to see what the cumulative total is by the end of the day, especially if there is further rain.
 
good start the day.thanks to the guys getting the info out 4 poor photos in wrong order.
1 Kes 30 feet to the left of sailing pool cafe no-one at the cafe noticed.:-C
2 Three Plovers (look close)
3 fanfare on arrival.
5 Barn Owl in daylight .

Now a stonking full summer plumage male Grey Plover at the Flashes just found by Stuart Croft; first summer bird still present also.
 
A minimum of 84 species recorded on the reserve today, including 82 by Dave Jackson alone (equalling his own personal best for the reserve).

sorry mainly birding this afternoon only a few pics .I can not believe there's not a better photo of the stonking full summer plumage male Grey Plover. On the forum yet!
