Shah Hi,

I'm wondering Persian Wheatear for the 1st image..seeing the rufous edge to the tail? Unsure if it occurs in your area?

The second image looks like an Imm/fem.Black Redstart...wouldn't like to comment on race.

Good shots!...and a happy New Year ;)

My thoughts also; I can't remember the English name for the Persian-wheatear type that occurs in the Gulf, but (if I remember correctly) it should be chrysopigia.

For shot #1, I suggest Mourning Wheatear. The bird clearly lacks the rufous undertail coverts and grey belly found in O. xanthoprymna chrysopygia. Bird shows darker wings than Finsch's Wheatear.
