Gonna read this paper later when I find the time. Noted an interesting relationship in the supplementary material - Anthoscopus related to Sylvietta rather than Remiz!
Has this come up before in any other papers?
 
Antoscopus musculus was sister to Sylvietta and far away from Parus in Sefc et al 2003 [pdf here],
but
Antoscopus minutus was sister to Remiz and closer to it than Auriparus with high support in Gill et al 2005 [pdf here],
and
Antoscopus minutus and A. parvulus were sister to Remiz and closer to it than Auriparus with high support in Johansson et al 2013 [ms pdf here].

(Here, unfortunately, they used a composite sequences, supposed to represent the genus, which they created by combining data from Sefc et al 2003 (nd2 & 12s-rRNA) and Gill et al 2005 (cyt-b). If the pieces they combined have conflicting phylogenetic signals, it's a bit of a problem.)
