Good Morning

I hope you are all well, I have recently moved into the Suffolk area and I am a keen Raptor enthusiast and photographer and would love to build a portfolio of these wonderful birds, following a career in horse photography. Is it possible someone could let me know the best areas for this and then I can concentrate more directly on them. I live in Suffolk and can travel . I am really keen to capture images of Peregrine Falcons for a family member

Steve

Hi Steve and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here. I look forward to hearing your news and will hopefully see some of your pictures in the Gallery too.

Please be aware that some species, particularly raptors are very threatened in this country from persecution and egg hunters. It is illegal to approach a nest of most raptors without a special licence. In view of this, our members will probably not advertise sites on an open forum at this time of year particularly.

I hope you understand.

Thankyou, I would never do anything like that and it is purely photos I am interested in, my lenses are long enough to have no impact on the area..

Hi again Steve, sorry I think you slightly misunderstood my post. I wasn't really suggesting that you would do that, but this is an open forum that can be read by anyone, even non-members.

For this reason we don't encourage anyone to mention where sites are and I was trying to let you know the reason why you probably wouldn't get a response to that question.

Welcome to BirdForum! I am sure you will find lots to interest you here, and I hope you enjoy your visits.
