Immature Martial Eagle? Large eagle in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park - South Africa (1 Viewer)

With the very few bird of prey species in the area, you would think a large eagle in the Kalahari should be easy to identify. Yes. It should.

The only large (and true) eagle with fully-feathered white legs that does occur in the area and does not seem to look totally different (again from Newman's Birds of Southern Africa) is an immature Martial Eagle. Would you agree that this is what I saw on the afternoon of 16. Nov. 2011 in the Nossob Valley about 20 km north of Twee Rivieren?

Thanks again :)
Ralph
