Went for an afternoon stroll in one of my local patches, equipped with camera and binoculars. Didn't expect to see much but there is always the chance of seeing Dipper in the stream that flows through the wood. We caught several glimpses of these beautiful little birds, flitting off further up or down stream before we could get close enough for pictures. Then we got lucky and managed to get close enough to get some fairly good shots.

The bird on the large rock (last few pics) was no more than 20ft away, we were standing out in the open watching this bird and taking pics for a whole 2 minutes before it finally decided to move off up stream, pausing for a last look at us before it went on it's way. It really made everyone's day |=)| The last few pics are not at all brilliant as it was just coming on for dusk but I'm still happy to have got those pics at all.
