Whoosh netting at rape bait station, site 1, 9.3.18

Linnet new 8
retrap 17

After being absent for a few days, despite the feed station being cleared every morning, a flock appeared after the snow started to thaw on Saturday 3rd. Numbers present are down from flock seen 200+ to flock seen 40-50. This catch contained a lot of birds which have not been caught recently, including 7 ringed birds not caught before this winter suggesting that the rapid spring turnover is underway with many of the previous flock departed.
