Bright barn swallow? (1 Viewer)

What in the world? How much Photoshop manipulation was done to that image?

I have never seen a Barn Swallow colored like that!

If this is a normal variant for Barn Swallow then it is the first I have ever heard of it.

Maybe it is just my location. In Maryland, the Barn Swallows are colored like in the field guides.

Especially some male birds can be very bright and shiny, but the angle of light
can also sligthly over emphasize this colour.

Here you see my ringed male Barn Swallow, taken in cloudy weather...
