Increased penalties for wildlife crime in Scotland (1 Viewer)

In contrast to the report that the National Wildlife Crime Unit in England may be disbanded to save money, the Scottish Government has accepted the recommendations of a review group to increase penalties: see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-35651035

Scotland now has a single police force, with nationwide policies and so no district or region can turn an individual blind eye to the application of any laws, whereas in England, Chief Constables and Commissioners have a dismal record of affording wildlife crime a low priority and give it minimal support.
