Hi im looking for information on how to differenciate the bubo bubo subspecies. I would like any details like what is in svenssons passerines etc to help me.

There is a little in HBW online: http://www.hbw.com/species/eurasian-eagle-owl-bubo-bubo (I am not sure how much you can see if you are not logged in).
Need to be logged in to read HBW (Holt et al 1999) ssp descriptions...
Races differ mainly in general coloration, strength of dark markings, and size: hispanus and ruthenus lighter and greyer than nominate; interpositus darker, more rufous; sibiricus very pale, creamy-white below with contrasting streaks; yenisseensis darker, with yellower ground colour; hemachalana more light brown above, including mantle, turcomanus similar but greyer; omissus with ochre ground colour, markings below less heavy, nikolskii smaller and more rufous; jakutensis dark, browner above, well marked below, ussuriensis darker still with ochre wash below; kiautschensis rather small, very dark, streaking thin; swinhoei small, strongly tinged rufous.
[Slightly more detailed (incl some measurements) in König & Weick 2008 (Owls of the World) and (presumably?) BWP.]

The König & Weick account can conveniently be read on Google Books. BWP is somewhat more detailed, but (of course) WP only.
You can also check Charles Vaurie's Systematic notes on Palearctic birds [#41/1960] & [#52/1963].
What is the actual context of the research? (Wild birds, captive birds, possible escapes?)
(Of course there is nothing about owls in Svensson's Passerines.)
