Macro mode reduces depth of field????? (2 Viewers)

I just realized that macro mode normally reduces your useable depth of field. so if i don't shoot in macro i should have a larger depth of field to work with? seems logical or is depth of field pretty much limited by the scope anyway?

Paul, I believe depth of field is negated by scope use. 35mm rules "fly out the window" when digiscoping in my opinion.

In my very few attempts at Digiscoping macro mode seems to produce the better shots than automatic mode. I believe you are focussing on the first mirror in the scope so if the depth of field on that mirror/plate is deep it will transfer to the camera's image. Hope that makes sense. When I read this it doesn't!! lol
