Anyone got any ideas as to why these young Canada Geese have turned out like this, at first it was thought they were from a cross breed but both parents are Canada Geese. They also havn't joined into the creche like the Canada normally does keeping these two away from the rest.

IMHO those are domestic gosling which try to accompany the Canada Gesse - family.
A behavior which I can often see here at our breeding populations of Grayleg Goose.

Must admit that was our original thought, but they are always with and protected by a pair of Canada Geese, no Domestics in sight of these, in fact the Domestic Geese we have here have 3 young of there own which are about 4 weeks ahead of these. When with the other Canada young they have the same jizz but for the beak and feet colouration.

If their own brood fails, geese sometimes adopt goslings, also mislaying eggs in another gooses nest can occur.

However, there are sometimes colour mutations in canada geese; and there is also the possibility that they have a domestic goose as father.

watch them grow up, then it is much easier to tell what they are.

Thanks for your help guys, it's along the same lines as our thinking, just seemed unusual that we didn't have a Domestic with the Canada, but actually two adult Canadas, my only other thought was some kind of albino, but colouration didn't look right and they do look at bit like the other Domestic young we have here, like you say I guess we will know for sure in a few weeks when they grow up.
