How is your 2008 List Going? (1 Viewer)

Dave, it sounds like you may have been to Muscatatuck NWR from your list!

Is that where you went?

I am currently "house-bound" with a bad cold, so I have to be content to watch our backyard bird feeders. Nothing new to report, but still have the Red-breasted Nuthatches, Pine Siskins and the "regulars" coming in to feed.

Yes, I did go to Muscatatuck NWR. I should have had more birds but we had a freeze a couple of days ago, and the ponds were frozen over, even though today was near 60 degrees. (And frogs were out in the little thawed-out pond behind the headquarters). During the CBC on January 1st, they had just about all the ducks that can be seen in this area, but because of the freeze, most of them had moved on.

I've got only:
Dark-eyed Junco
Black-capped Chickadee
Evening Grosbeak
Blue Jay
White-breasted Nuthatch
Downy Woodpecker
Mourning Dove
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Hairy Woodpecker
American Tree Sparrow
Tufted Titmouse
American Crow
Turkey
so far but I haven't been anywhere yet.
