Knee jerk reaction to #1 was a first year Canada Warbler, with the complete white eye-ring and faint gray necklace.

I can't see Canada or Yellow-rumped here. Pointy bill and overall dullness make me think it's an Orange-crowned Warbler. Don't think the 'necklace' is colour related, looks more like displaced feathers to me.
 
Orange-crowned Warbler was also my first impression. Would be early for Canada's in Texas. Earliest Texas record on eBird is April 9.
