How to review a spotting scope? What info should it contain? (1 Viewer)

Due to a materially costly accident, I am now in the market for a new spotting scope and binoculars. Don't, 4 weeks before Christmas and my wee one, searching for presents, pulled the entire contents of an upper wardrobe shelf down using nothing but a coat hanger and a hanging jumper sleeve. Spotting scope destroyed beyond repair, as to my bins.

So, I am about to purchase the new Hawke Endurance 85ED Spotting scope (as I was blown away by their Frontier ED bins).

As its a new scope, I thought I would attempt a review. Rather than it being a 'yeah its cool I like it' type, i'd want to throw in information people would actually find relevant to help them choose a new purchase.

So..... help me out here folks, whats the really important info a good review should contain?

Oh, and here is a piccie from Debens website of my Friday arrival.

Hi! There are 2 options for your review -

Do a review in the Equipment Review section, which you can access through the Optics sub forum.

Go to the Optics sub forum, click on spotting scopes & select the brand of scope you have and do your review there.

You can read through some reviews and that will give you an idea about the type of information others find most helpful. Either of those options will place your review in the best & most likely place for it to be read & much appreciated! You may find information there that may help you as well. There is also a binocular section that is awesome. Check them out!
