Urdaibai Reserve Basque Coiuntry, Spain (1 Viewer)

The location of the camera has now changed in this reserve. It is both lower, and from the opposite direction to its former outlook. If it stays that way until autumn migration gets going it will be better for views of waders etc. Just at the moment, because it's 'the doldrums', things are a bit quiet.

As predicted, if this camera can be retained in its current position, the possibility of close views of waders, and the chance of oddities, has vastly increased nover the older more distant cam:

They are impressive birds indeed! Unfortunetly in Austria, they don't breed. You can only observe them on migration. Looking forward to spring as well, hopefully I can see one again! :)

Currently a roosting subadult Med Gull here (pic attached). Haven't seen one here before. Also seen the usual Spoonbill, Little Egret, and Black-winged Stilt, but also a Spotted Redshank. The new camera position is much better for good views and ID.

I also noted the Med Gull but hadn't realised they'd changed the camera position.
