[Morocco] Pale vs Eurasian Crag Martin (1 Viewer)

Seen a flock of them at the bridge of Tinghir a few days ago.

My main trouble is that the all have a definite pale zone on the inner wing cover which was absent in all other Crag martin I've seen in Morocco. While, in general the bird were not so pale, with quite dark rump and throat...

For me, they look good for Pale Crag Martin. But in some photos, the contrast between the carpal area and the rest of the underwing coverts is a bit strong compared for example with these birds (though the latter were photographed in the stronger light of Merzouga in March). I would like to hear what others can say.

Yes, Rock Martin and Pale Crag Martin are the same.

In the meanwhile, I've contacted Patrick BERGIER who wrote this interesting article when the fuligula was still split from the rupestris: http://go-south.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/go-south_bull_4_6-25.pdf

"c'est pour moi clairement des rupestris. Obsoleta est beaucoup plus claire, de teinte générale grise cliar et non brune. Voir aussi les photos en fin d'article sur http://go-south.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/go-south_bull_6_76-91.compressed.pdf"
