Picos de Europa question. (1 Viewer)

We are thinking of going to Picos de Europa. What is the best time of year to go as we want to go up the cable car at Fuente de. Also does anyone know how to access the steppe area known as Valmadrigal and La Nava, east of Riano?

Myself and two friends went there in June last year ( 9th to 15th)
and saw all our target species in two visits up at Funte De . There was still snow falling when we visited up in the high areas. We had excellent views of Wallcreepers, Alpine chough, Snowfinches, Alpine Accentors and even Lammergeiers. A walk back down through the high pastures and forest also produced Water Pipits, Black Woodpecker, Bonelli's Warbler and lots of other birds.
A visit to Valle de Bobias near Portilla de la Reina is well worth it to see Bluethroats , Rock Thrushes and Rock Bunting.
