I've had a chance to use the new camera with the scope. Results are mixed as I'd expect because of my lack of experience. Focus is the main problem, but some are o.k. so I guess it will come with experience. The one concern is that the images seem to be lower quality than I would expect. Images through the camera alone are fine, much better than the 1.3mp I've been used to, but take on a grainy appearance through the scope. Is this usual? I'm following Andy Bright's suggested settings for the camera for the time being. The one strange thing is that with the settings on maximum resolution 2272x1704 and on Fine, the screen says I will get 33 images on a 64mb card, as does the manual. I'm regularly getting 45+. I've just transferred 29 images off the card to my PC and have 15 left according to the camera. Am I missing a trick? I have the camera set on continuous and have used this a few times. Does this degrade the image and fit more on the card? The data with the image confirms the resolution and image quality as JPEG (8 bit) Fine.
I'm sure that I'm just missing something, but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris
