First Birding Day (1 Viewer)

I only recently got into birding, so with my new pair of bins, I took a walk in a local park. It was a beautiful day, and people were out and about, though everyone was mindful at keeping social distancing.

I saw:
  • American Robin
  • Black-capped Chicadee
  • Chipping Sparrow
  • American Goldfinch
  • American Crow
Both the American Goldfinch and the Chipping Sparrow were new additions to my List.

The Goldfinch was my biggest surprise as I heard a chirp from across a large pond (300 feet at least), and I just pointed my binoculars at where I thought i heard the sound, and happened to point directly at a Goldfinch nestled in a budding tree. Quite lucky indeed!
