Im planning to go to Cape May on the 16th of May (I think thats World Series day?...). I'd just like to know the best places for seeing warblers and migrating songbirds and then the best place for shorebirds. Thanks.

Cape May is small enough that a car is almost an encumbrance, as the various hot spots are really close to one another. Plus the place is infested with birders, few of whom are reluctant to share their knowledge.
I'd go to the CMBO Northwood Center, which is actually a warbler hotspot and ask. You'll get the latest sightings and directions.

Will do thanks.

Happy to help, hope you have a great time!

PS World Series Day is a big deal at Cape May.
I think there are dozens of teams involved and the competition is fierce.
There are 'green teams' that don't use cars, sponsored teams, youth teams. school teams etc etc. Keeping the logistics in hand is a big deal and takes a lot of effort.
All this just a long winded warning, CMBO Northwood may be madhouse just when you're visiting. I'd call them a week ahead of time just to get a slot in the queue. But don't worry, the place is so bird and birder rich you can't help but have a great time. It's the only place I know where you routinely run into world class birders who are just casually working their local patch.

Thanks for the heads up, but I realize now the World Series is on the 9th. Anyway, I'm probably going to join in with my schools birding club for next years World Series. Cant wait.
