Another Hummingbird Hawk-moth in my conservatory this morning and it doesn't look like it's house trained or is it doing something else? |:d|

Hi
They do sometimes void fluid, having extracted whatever they need from the nectar. You should test it to see if it's sweet. The other point is that they do come 'indoors', usually sheds, railway platforms, window shutters, etc., to pass the winter (or to avoid hot weather when there's little by way of nectar sources [I've observed this in Mallorca]).

Strictly speaking I guess it's poo. I have tried caterpillar frass - processed silkworm droppings as Mulberry tea!!
It was quite nice.
I've also had honey from a long-dead Death's-head Hawkmoth that was dissected at the Museum. It, too, was perfectly OK, despite the strange storage medium (a moth's abdomen).
