Ruppell's Long-tailed (Lamprotornis purpuroptera)

They didn't strike me as anywhere near the size of the long-tailed species in west Africa, more sort of 'normal' glossy starling size... Clearly I have a lot to learn about east African avifauna!

Young birds? Tails in the east can be longer...
