Las Vegas Nevada USA Hummingbird ID (1 Viewer)

Hi!

We saw this hummingbird and think it might be our first sighting of a black-chinned hummingbird. We have seen Costa's and Anna's quite frequently in this area.

The Merlin Bird ID app suggested black-chinned, which we didn't believe until we did a comparison of the black-chinned, Costa's, and Anna's with our Sibley's guide. One thing that stood out was that this hummingbird has pointy tailfeathers and neither the Costa's nor the Anna's have pointed feathers like that in Sibley's.

Opinions? Seen yesterday.

Thank you!
