This is more of an attempt to get some input than an ID. In the process of re-organizing my photo library, which was getting out of hand, I came across an old photo from August, 2015 at Toronto State Lake in Woodson County, USA. At the time I didn't have a clue about telling one Egret from another.
Great Egret were abundant at the lake that day. At the time I didn't notice the oddity of the yellow feet on these two. All the other photos from that day show the normal black legs and feet except for these two. I do remember puzzling over a very few unusually small white egret. The range charts indicate that Little Egret would only be in the far eastern USA. I don't have my US field guides with me, so is there a species matching that I don't know or is this a variation that I am not aware of?
