Taken at the end of this past August at Plum Island, Parker River NWR. I'm thinking some variety of vireo?

Hmm, I'm going to go with Philly on this one, mostly because of the contrasting dark cap, and the dark bill. But the light may just make it look like that, so I'm not sure. Either way it's Warbling or Philly.

The distinct dark lores make me think Philadelphia also, but I think I see a white throat, and there is a definite arched supercilium, which suggests Warbling. Hmmmm...

Difficult image due to lighning.

The face pattern suggest Philadelphia. Structure is difficult to be sure of.

Check this one - which looks like a Warbling - throat colour looks yellowish (true colour?)and some autumn Philadephia might be paler yellow.

I've lightened the image (and that's all). Looks like Warbling to me, although your Eastern Warbling Vireos are more colorful (yellow) than those we see in the west. Still, I don't see enough yellow in the upper breast to make me think Philadelphia Vireo.

Ah much better. The crown actually doesn't contrast that much, nor do the lores. The yellow is brightest on the flanks too. Warbling.
