A brief overview of species seen during a trip to the BVIs last year... nothing too unusual, I guess, but spent too much time on the beach....!

White-tailed tropicbird (Guana Island)
Brown Pelican (Everywhere!)
Brown Booby (Everywhere)
Magnificent Frigatebird (fairly commonly seen riding the thermals very high in the sky)
Snowy Egret (Nanny Cay, Tortola)
White-cheeked pintail (Guana Island)
American Kestrel (Guana Island)
Least Tern (Cane Garden bay)
Royal Tern (Cane Garden bay)
Scaly-naped pigeon (Cane Garden bay)
Zenaida dove (Guana Island)
Common Ground-dove (Nanny Cay, Tortola)
Bridled Quail-dove (Guana Island)
Yellow-billed cuckoo (Smuggler's Bay, Tortola)
Smooth-billed Ani (Guana Island)
Green-throated Carib (Peter Island)
Antillean Hummingbird (Guana Island)
Caribbean Elaenia (Guana Island)
Gray Kingbird (Road Town, Tortola)
Pearly-eyed thrasher (fairly common especially around towns)
