A flock of 60+ fieldfare (plus 4 blackbirds and 3 chaffinch) are feeding on damaged apples in our garden.

Not with kestrel, especially as they are getting so scarce. The sprawk incident we had a week or two ago is less rare, though not common. The worst thing is cats, they can go along a net killing everything in reach for fun. We stopped ringing where people moved in with cats and weren't prepared to keep them in the days we ringed - we just couldn't take the risk.
