11/12 october with a lack of birds in the merseyside area we decied to visit the east coast for the weekend birds seen include uk 1st 1cy
AMUR FALCON , Slavonian grebe, m hen harrier, hobby.and a couple of roe deer then a message on the pager DESERT WHEATEAR crosby:C just our look. no sign today.

meols and surrounding area NO sign of the reported probable SNOWY EGRET
12 redpoll 16 siskin over leasowe horse paddocks 10-12 little egrets on the coast between leasowe and red rocks guillemot and razorbill noted

2 new birds today

163 great n diver flew towards the marine lake at 12.20pm
164 eider
supporting cast 1-2 snow bunting, 6 purple sands, 100 brent geese.

1 of the above digiscoped juv shags found dead ring number b.t.o 1426730
pheasant west kirby red rocks

1 juv great northern diver, 9 mergansers, 1 goldeneye,1 g c grebe. highlights

30 nov 2008 marshside rspb highlights 7 whooper swans flew NNE at 3.05pm now a very scarce merseyside bird.
3 f merlins 1 common buzzard and NO harriers.
