ID of Hawk San Francisco Bay (1 Viewer)

Hi, I am a birdwatcher from the UK and took this photo in January last year in San Francisco Bay. Assumed it was a Red Tailed Hawk, but when looking at again, thought it might be Red Shouldered Hawk. Can anyone help please ? Thank You

I agree with Bowley. You can see the checkerboard pattern on the folded wingtips. Also, this bird has barring that's uniform over its belly, whereas a red-tail would have streaks, with an uneven distribution making a "girdle" pattern.
