Programmable Modes (1 Viewer)

Is there a Canon SLR which allows you to program modes that you can easily switch between? When birding in the forest I need to be able to switch between (a) an overexposed shot at regular ISO for photographing birds in trees against the light and (b) an underexposed shot on maximum ISO for photographing birds low down where it's dark. I would like to be able to just program a mode for each so I can switch between them with one motion, but this doesn't seem possible. I have an eight years old 400D which so far as I am aware does not allow me to do this plus it is getting a bit erratic so I'm thinking of upgrading.

Thanks
