Swarovski phone skoping enigma (1 Viewer)

So am in Estonia and the tour leader is using his iphone 7 with the Swarovski adapter on his Swarovski ATS 80 eye piece 20-60S and getting great results. We tried the same phone and adapter on my old grey Swarovski HD with the same eyepiece. The results on my were much poorer which surprised me as the viewing on both scopes was almost identical.
Secondly on my scope there was much more vignetting.
Any explanations?

Different scope, different result, no enigma here. Scope, adapter and camera/phone all need to match, and the only way to find out if a combo works well is to test it.

I appreciate that the scopes are different but I would have thought that with the same eyepiece the degree of vignetting would be the same?

Possibly look at the settings in your phone's camera, or the camera app you are using?
I don't have the same set-up at all, but improved results by some experimentation with the available parameters.
